I have always played softball. I never played soccer before this year, but I liked coach Grant and I wanted to be part of something new.

No one really knew what to expect coming into this season. Obviously, it has been a lot better than we expected, but we all want to grow and get better from here.

We just go out there every game and give it our all and have fun. When we won district, we realized we had a chance to go somewhere and do something this year. All that came because we play as a team.

You see the pictures and you recognize everything. It's crazy. My parents and I have been watching CNN all week and you see Canal Street and Bourbon Street and think 'I walked those every day I was there.' We drove across the highways that are now under water.

I've worked out every day since the beginning of summer. It's a lot of basic stuff, just making the muscles you use for gymnastics, your arms and legs, stronger.

It's a bigger meet, but it's different because you're not there with a team. You're only there as an individual. In high school it's more team than anything.
