I have a lot of friends in Houston that say they hear my name on talk radio. I say, 'No way, that's awesome.' It's just exciting to hear stuff like that, and I'm looking forward to being up here.

I'm very excited to be here and have a lot of hometown friends here. I've got people I haven't talked to in years calling me. Just being in Texas in general is fun.

What I'm getting out of it is a feeling that when I come out here, I'm not going to be overwhelmed by this. They kind of teach you what it takes to get here, but also when you get here, what to do and how to carry yourself.

Donna (Palmer's wife) and I have made a lot of friends in Houston during the two times we've lived here. We'll always maintain those friendships. I'm just sorry it didn't work out the way everyone wanted.

I'm stuck there with these 13 people I don't really want to be stuck with. I don't need more friends.

We cannot have four more years apologizing to our enemies and abandoning our friends.
