I hate the word 'rendering,' as it equates to 'pouring concrete' on ideas that demand continuing dialog. 'Trade secrets' imply hoarding of knowledge.

They demand and personally strive for continuing education.

The issue is that fragrance formulas are generally trade secrets, so there really is little pressure on companies to identify the chemical makeup of their products on a label.
