I had a tough time fitting in, as I guess most kids do. I felt like school was kind of a grand opportunity to figure yourself out and to figure out what you wanted.

Me, I trust people who show you what freaks they are. It's the ones who blend in that ya gotta watch out for.

The most basic human desire is to feel like you belong. Fitting in is important.

She had met people who had tried to fit in. She had met people who tried to stand out. But until then she had never met anyone who simply tried to be themselves without expecting anything from those around
them. It was a refreshing experience.

It’s better to be a “misfit” than a “one-size-fits-all”!
