I had a confidence about it. That's because of the people around me, and I felt good about it. But I knew positively on Monday. I was in [the US city of] Baltimore and I got the phone call.

This feels particularly good. It reaffirms the confidence I have in people.

Good scripts are hard to find.

We're making a movie, and I think we're making a really good movie. When it comes out, if they still feel the same way then, you know, screw them!

I really felt we were kind of up all night. Even [trailing] 3-0, I felt good. We were mentally in the game. We had four or five hits, which is good. [Bradley], you get hits off this girl, I think you've done something. She really mixes it up well.

We felt that Robert had to have qualities that Jeffrey and Elaine hadn't encountered before. Not just his good looks, but his talent and his intensity. And because Robert is grieving, he's extremely vulnerable, and that draws Jeffrey and Elaine in as well.
