I guess I was naive. I had no idea it would be a black church. I guess I should have put two and two together.

When we first got together, we didn't talk about who was going to sing what. We did 'Church on Cumberland Road' and it was undeniable when we hit that first chorus. We felt like we had to do it. We felt like it was ordained.

I converted to the LDS Church when I was 18-years old. I think a lot of things happened in my life that changed my perspective on where I was headed. I knew if I continued doing what I was doing, I wasn't going to end up anywhere that I wanted to be in the future.

You don't hide a problem, ... That's what they (the church) did with White. They hid him.

As the leader of the Catholic Church, the Holy Father planted seeds of hope in the hearts of millions, helping bring entire nations to the table of peace, and delivering them from tyranny. His ministry to the poor and oppressed was an example to us all, and inspired legions to pursue a life of faith and service. It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to Pope John Paul II, our pilgrim of peace.

For a church to affirm a sinful behavior is for that church to conduct a fruitless and deceptive ministry. Regardless of the good intentions of Pastor Haney, the ministry his church has facilitated and that he personally supports is a ministry quite unlikely to confront homosexual behavior as a sin. That stance is contrary to Scripture.
