I found myself in the doldrums in the early Nineties. I was too old to play the dolly bird any longer and I looked too young to play a woman of my real age. No one ever saw me as the aunt, mother or grandmother.

'Poltergeist' was the film that scarred me for life. I saw it at such a young age - 5 or 6 years old - and it has one of the creepiest doll sequences with the clown, and ever since then, I've just been fascinated by dolls.

From an early age, I learned to invest myself emotionally in what unfolded before me on screen.

No one who is young is ever going to be old.

The early bird catches the worm.

Time and trouble will tame an advanced young woman, but an advanced old woman is uncontrollable by any earthly force.
