I feel that art can have a message, can provoke and still be beautiful. I use texture and iridescent pigments, which remind me of the sparkle of broken glass and the rainbow in oil and gas spills.

I am fascinated by our complex love yet exploitation of nature. For me, painting is an affirmation of my concern and sense of awe for my subject, the natural world and its creatures.

I found the mouse on the road near my house. Someone was putting out rat poison, and it claimed the mice as well. In fact, it almost killed my dog.

We could have spent thousands on corporate art and filled our walls with something that would be wonderful to look at, but it would be static. Our company is based on people and change and adaptability. What better than to have our very walls represent what we're about?

It is going to be good, quality art as well as something interesting to the community.
