I don't think we can underestimate the power of language.

I think we're seeing a more relaxed, more offensive, some would say, use of language, the use of swearing.

We decide certain words aren't so bad anymore. It's reflected in our everyday language use.

As a culture, we decide what is a good word and we decide what is a bad word and that's changing over time.

I believe in lieu of the Katrina situation last week it is even more important that we are prepared and we practice in case a real situation occurs,

The faculty will be a little more relaxed this semester, because we know that problems are inevitable.
