I don't need a man to comfort me when I'm having a bad day. I want a man who loves me so much, that when I hurt, he hurts just as deeply because I'm a part of him.

I don't need a man to take care of me. I want a man who wants to take care me. Can I make my own chicken soup when I'm sick?...or at least order my own from the nearest take-out restaurant? Yes. But having a guy bring you soup, who genuinely cares about your well being, just does something special to your insides. It could be the crappiest bowl of Cup of Noodle, microwaved until it's barely inedible, and you swear it's the best thing to hit your taste buds, simply because he put in the effort.

Here's the thing about needs and wants...when you want something bad enough, it becomes a necessity. Not because you literally need it to survive; life will go on either way, but because life just doesn't seem complete without it.

Don't be anyone's side dish. If you're in this kind of situation and I'm offending you that's just too bad, because you need to hear it. Reality Check- A man doesn't want a side of broccoli when he has a giant steak in front of him. FYI- You're not the steak.

I don't need a man to make me happy. I want a man who adds to my happiness in a way that is so indescribable, not even Webster could find written word to explain it.

I don't need a man to go to sleep at night. I know I'll get a perfectly good night's rest and wake up just the same, but who would actually rather cuddle up with a body pillow than a guy? The pillow doesn't hug back! Okay, if you close your eyes and pretend, memory foam does a pretty good job, but it doesn't compare to real flesh and bones.
