I don't know if it (the loss) puts the pressure on us or not. We knew coming in this was a seven-game series. It's the first team to win four games.

The puck was just laying there, and I was able to get in position and slide it in. I like it when we get those shots through to the net, because it gives me something to work with. It wasn't a pretty goal, but it's nice to contribute.

We couldn't wait to get to tonight's game because we felt that Roncalli loss devastated us. We had a lot of kids coming back and they really wanted to show that they are going to come back this season and play their hearts out, and especially doing it in the first game.

The loss got them fired up. It made them realize how much everybody wanted to beat us and that we were not invincible. Without it (the loss), we might not have won the state.

This was a really, really tough loss for us. Both teams played hard enough to win. There wasn't a great deal of offense on either side; you credit the defenses, but it's a tough one.
