I don't know. I think he was scared to play us, that's what I think. They were scared.

I pulled him to the side and told him to keep on shooting the ball because he's our shooter, and if starts getting down that can mess up the whole team. If he's not going to believe, then no one else is.

When Manny came back, we knew we were going all the way. I got hurt and they played Woodlands and Lincoln hard, and it showed how good they can be with him out there.

Ryan Hubbard also made a big defensive play for us. We had a little bit of blown pass coverage and Hubbard came flying over to knock a pass away that could have been about a 40-yard gain for them in the first half.

The last few weeks have been great for us. We've learned a lot. Now in conference play, there is a big target on our backs, especially when PLU is involved.

We were ready to play. It had nothing to do with not being ready. They just beat us.
