I don't know how to live any place else. We were born and raised in a small community, Spanish community, along the Bayou, and I can't comprehend living anyplace else.

Take my family - I have two brothers, his brother, a son and daughter, our house and my mother and only my daughter is going back.

We don't know. If they tell you you can't live there anymore, then what? We looked at living here, but we can't do anything until we find out what FEMA and our insurance is going to do.

Do not expect trust to appear suddenly and in a state of completion. Trust grows gradually as we venture forth little by little, with God and each other. As our trust grows, so will our willingness and courage to speak and listen with greater freedom. Seeing things more clearly is often one of the fruits of our growing trust.

The most important accomplishment, I believe, was my voting against the First World War.

Some people who've read my story think I had a terrible childhood and that I was neglected or even abused, while others feel that my parents, while certainly flawed, also had truly wonderful qualities. And that's the way it should be, because in real life two people can look at the same president and one will see a hero and the other a villain.
