I don't hate on "both sides" to feel superior. I could feel superior on either side. I hate "both sides" to show them that there are more than two sides.

Saying both sides participated in violence doesn't mean both sides are equally ideologically wrong, you know.

I will defend the absolute value of Mozart over Miley Cyrus, of course I will, but we should be wary of false dichotomies. You do not have to choose between one or the other. You can have both. The human cultural jungle should be as varied and plural as the Amazonian rainforest. We are all richer for biodiversity. We may decide that a puma is worth more to us than a caterpillar, but surely we can agree that the habitat is all the better for being able to sustain each.

Life is such unutterable hell, solely because it is sometimes beautiful. If we could only be miserable all the time, if there could be no such things as love or beauty or faith or hope, if I could be absolutely certain that my love would never be returned: how much more simple life would be. One could plod through the Siberian salt mines of existence without being bothered about happiness.

And you know who's especially stupid? People who look at how unexceptional and bland and boring they are and say, "You know how I can remedy this? I will take solace in the accomplishments of my entire race. That way, I can draw attention away from the fact that I personally have not accomplished shit!

We act as if a left-wing agenda is something we should disavow. Of course we don't have an agenda, only the bad guys have an agenda! Yes, you're right, right now, only the bad guys have an agenda. That's why they're winning.
