I didn't see any discussion at all about school achievement, ... I don't think it's sound educationally, and I think she took the easy way out.

During school, there's no mixing,

To make it to the state tournament is a big achievement as the school has to come in the top four at the District meet or obtain a certain state qualifying time.

There is no perfect or ideal size for a high school. Top-level student achievement can be seen in high schools of all sizes in the state.

Great achievements are nothing more than a collection of small accomplishments.

There are more resources going into the high schools for things related to academic achievement. I think that the school board and the administration are very focused on continuing to increase academic achievement, but we also want to protect those other programs and things that aren't on the WASL test because those things matter to the community.
