I brought them along because I really wanted them to get a sense of pride of the town.

You know, a lot of these photos were taken from the middle of the road, but at that time there really wasn't that much traffic. But I had to stand out in the middle of an intersection just to get the same shot as these photographers who lived one hundred years ago.

These photos give you a new appreciation for the area and I hope that's what someone else might get out of it when they see these photos.

They're getting used to it. I think fear is slowly turning into pride: I think they were quite perturbed in the beginning, but they're coming round to it. I was always a bit of a loose cannon, then again I was always the artistic one: bit of a social misfit. I probably still am.

Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfaction.
