I bet if I asked anyone in this room, 'Who would you report an electronic crime to in the Police?', no one would know. We are ignorant of the size of the problem. There is a real lack of meaningful statistics.

[With the E-Crime Manifesto initiative] Wales may be well ahead of other governments in what it is doing [in bringing together] government, law enforcers and private industry – everyone has the same difficulties.

If we discovered a crime involving a police officer, we wouldn't investigate it ourselves, we'd hand it off.

There was police cars everywhere, detectives cars everywhere, there was crime scene tape around this. And for somebody to do this to her, it just an outrage, really.

The police met with our group and they said crime and drug dealing is way down. It's unbelievable.

Minorities are often underserved and are not comfortable reporting crime to police. Reporting a crime can be a scary procedure.
