I am capable of of beating my personal best (7001 pts set at the 2003 world championships in Paris) but the world record seems too high.

I think I will be able to beat my own personal best but Jackie Joyner-Kersee's world record is too good.

I love competing, and of course I am very disappointed, but the (European championships) is the highlight of the year, maybe even my career, and that is when I want to be at my best.

I'm not disappointed (at not leading), I'm just trying my best.

I sacrifice so much for my sport. Everything I do is geared towards improving my next performance.
