I am beginning a summer boys lacrosse program for disadvantaged kids and any interested kid as a means of opening doors of opportunity.

Last summer I gave free clinics to kids. I would like to have 20-40 to participate.

We want the kids to show up. We want to be accessible for any needy kid. It costs $300-400 to get started because the equipment is so expensive. We want to draw kids across boundaries to start relationships.

We basically started by going outside shooting. I told the boys that I wanted them to capture images of themselves that express who they are as portraits, without including their faces.

I was just playing in a tournament with them (Boys' Club) and they approached my father. And then I gave them the information and everything and applied, and then I got in.

Our boys came out and played hard from the very beginning.
