Humility is pride in God

God shows his contempt for wealth by the kind of person he selects to receive it.

Those who want to hear from you will let you hear from them.

We should thank God that He did not give us the power of hearing through walls; otherwise there would be no such thing as friendship

Your patient has become humble; have you drawn his attention to the fact? All virtues are less formidable to us once the man is aware that he has them, but this is specially true of humility.

Humility, the place of entire dependence on God, is the first duty and the highest virtue of the creature, and the root of every virtue. And so pride, or the loss of this humility, is the root of every sin and evil.
