Housing has been such a huge story for the last few years. The numbers are still healthy but they aren't going up at the same rate as they used to.

Now that the market has had a first quarter that will make pretty big headlines, that will cause a lot of investors to exit cash positions and exit some bond positions and move that money into stocks. Investors don't want to be left out.

The economy is strong enough to keep corporate earnings growing, but not so strong that inflation will be a major factor.

It would be a way to focus on the research-and-development part of the drug business, and let someone else focus on the consumer-products side of the business.

The rally is justified. The economy continues to be strong enough to keep corporate earnings growth strong, but not too strong that we'll have any sort of intense inflation worries.

There's always the light at the end of the tunnel with these events.
