Hockey is its own game. It's completely different than all other games, although it's getting way too close to soccer.

That's not going to create more scoring chances. Scoring chances are down because that's the way the game is played today. The players are bigger now, there's not as much room to move around. You watch old tapes, which I do quite a bit, it is a different game now.

I like to think I speak for a lot of the players. But a lot of the players don't ever support me, which [ticks] me off.

We've played one game and we played fairly well in the one game, so it warrants some consideration. But they count it by 11. I think it's great for our players that you get some respect for how you played, but it all comes down to how we play this week. We'll see where we're rated after we play Michigan.

They didn't get a terrific report about going to impasse. If you don't go to impasse and you want to start your season up, then you're going with total replacement players, and that is a tough road. For instance, if you could find some Europeans that are not on a team's reserve list, they wouldn't be able to get visas. I think both sides have now sat back and said, 'We need each other.
