He's setting a trend right now, and I know there are some little kids out here who might be interested in learning more about the sport.

I think we're peaking at the right time, just prior to the playoffs. The kids are really excited and they have brought the defense to our opponents, especially over the last six games.

What does this mean to me? It means I have to coach another week. But if any group of kids ever deserved to advance to the national tournament, it's these kids. They've worked so hard and become a team in every sense of the word. This was a total team effort.

I can't tell you how proud I am of these kids. We just had so many kids step up again tonight.

I'm not one for Knute Rockne speeches and so I'm not going to start now. I did tell the kids the other night that they are my favorite team not because of the success we've had on the court. But because of the kind of people they are. They are just a tremendous group of young men.

That's the real key to this team. It's the most unselfish group of kids I have ever been around. They all put the team first and they care about each other. It's a very special basketball team in that way.
