He's really poised on the mound. Both of the sophomore pitchers are stepping up and giving us some good innings.

The cutoff date is in the middle of May, and we'll need a .500 record. Once our pitching gets on track, we should be set.

John will be a great player once he gets accustomed to varsity pitching. In addition to his bat, he has a strong arm. He threw out two of four base runners in the first three games.

James is off to a decent start, but he's pressing a little bit. Sometimes he wants to carry the team on his shoulders a bit and do too much.

He's working on a change this year. He also has more command of the curve.

We could very well be 3-1. With a couple of breaks or avoiding some costly errors, we could be off to a strong start.
