He's got a good combination of power and finesse. One of his biggest advantages is the ability to adjust his style to whatever his opponent gives him. He's able to capitalize on his opponents weaknesses.

We're hoping for a possible title fight this summer for Jay. A couple of more wins should put him in excellent position, and one of the top contenders would have to be Mike Culbert.

He had that kind of power and athletic ability, as a kid. He was a shortstop, but we had Gary DiSarcina and moved Troy to third, which meant for a quick route to the majors.

We're constantly behind in the count with him. We're allowing a guy with his kind of power and hitting ability to hit in a 2-1 count every time he goes to the plate. Shoot, I wish I could hit in his counts. We have to get him to offer at some quality pitches.
