He's a very peaceful person, ... He has enormous capabilities of dialogue and enormous diplomatic skill to negotiate, and is a person who really believes that Afghan national unity is the fundamental resource that we have to establish peace in Afghanistan.

We are glad and happy for what Pakistan is now doing on their territory to chase terrorists and to arrest them,

attach importance to developing relations with all neighboring countries, including Pakistan.

No fugitive can run forever.

We hope that this signature will bring to Afghanistan the stability and peace that we needed for so many years. We also hope that the cooperation between the Afghan state and the international security force and the United Nations will bring to an absolute end the presence of terrorism and banditry in Afghanistan.

People in Afghanistan want peace, including the Taliban. They're also people like we all are. They have families, they have relatives, they have children, they are suffering a tough time.
