Her vision to build this memorial will not only ensure that women are forever recognized as a critical and historic part of the woven tapestry of military service, but will also inspire others to dream and realize new possibilities for generations to come.

These achievements are possible because as a community we are better educated. DoD civilian women have demonstrated an increase in the percentage of those holding bachelor's degrees or higher from 23 percent in 1995 to 32 percent in 2005, with 62 percent more women possessing masters degrees or above in 2005.

One thing is sure. Women and girls will have their first vision of a female network anchor who is an authority on her own. Since we learn by example, there's no telling where that iconic image may lead.

To deny women directors, as I suspect is happening in the States, is to deny the feminine vision.

We want to keep them here. We will express a vision of the organization to them and hopefully they will see that and we can go from there.

Up until last year, the implant that was placed will give you a fixed distance, either distance vision or close vision. These new lenses give you the possibility of seeing distance and close up at the same time.
