He was pivotal. He was sort of the rock of the Playhouse: organized, disciplined, always in control.

Last year, he worried about a lot of things he couldn't control. This year, he worries about things he can control, and that's a sign of maturity.

Without Mike out there, everyone was staying back too much. We lost control of the midfield and couldn't get the ball to our offensive players.

What I love here is people saying this confirms the quality they expect at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Absolutely unique production. We are so proud of this show, but the work we do year in and year out is of a high quality.

Her work is usually seen on the West Coast and the East Coast and not in the middle. In the middle we don't recognize her. I'm curious whether she'll deal with our sensibilities or be in our faces.

Even when he could no longer call a show (giving cues and the like), he had so much to impart, so much experience to share, it was terrific to have him here. We're glad that through the final days he really was here.
