He was awesome. He?s been great all year. He throws strikes. Guys just don?t get good swings off him. He deserved a better fate. He deserved to win that game. He?s got a great mentality and he loves to compete.

It looked like we were just going to go down 1-2-3 every inning. Somebody?s got to step up and get a big hit. Someone?s got to want to be the star of the game.

Last year, I think we ran into a problem the first month of the season with guys who doubted that they belonged here. I don?t think we have to worry about that this year.

We stole one in the eighth and then we stole one in the ninth with the squeeze. It was kind of nice.

What are you going to do, you know?. In hindsight, I guess I should have thrown him out there in the ninth. It was probably my mistake.

The umpiring is an absolute joke. That?s the bottom line. It is absolutely not professional baseball that we?re playing out there. This game can get turned around on one pitch. I?m not saying professional umpires don?t miss pitches -- obviously, they do. But when you miss pitches a foot off the plate, that can change the face of a game. You guys can see it from up in the press box. You guys should call the game up there.
