He just told me not to put any undue pressure on myself. He said if I just relaxed and played my game, the big plays would come.

It's almost like building my résumé.

I told myself not to make anything over par from that point on. I know this course and I've played well here in the past, so I knew I could do that.

There's always pressure that way, with the alumni who played here. That's a given coming in. That has not affected us. I think all teams are different. The last time we were up here in 2001, you can't compare. Each team brings a different personality. I just don't get into that. Each one is different for me.

We played hard, we came to compete, and it's nice to start the season with a win.

This was a hard game; it was hard fought. We played through bad calls and missed shots. They played through it, and that's what we need.
