He is tremendous with these young people. He gets great participation. He really has the kids' respect. From a yacht club standpoint, we like to support things that are boat-related to encourage the next generation of boaters.

To further the appreciation of culture among all the people, to increase respect for the creative individual, to widen participation by all the processes and fulfillments of art - this is one of the fascinating challenges of these days

Mr. Blake is attentive, visible and enthusiastic in this support and knows the benefits of participation in athletics. He will quickly say that his involvement in athletics taught many valuable lessons not learned in a classroom setting and allowed his success later in life.

The only thing worse than a coach or CEO who doesn't care about his people is one who pretends to care. People can spot a phony every time.

In some cases, kids are going to excel in school regardless of their sport participation. For others, they could fail in the classroom and go unpunished. The kids that didn't do well, there wasn't too much to take away from them because we didn't have any dances or extra-curricular activities.
