He is playing the game at a faster pace now. He gets the ball off quicker, he can check out of plays quicker and he's going through his reads quicker and getting it to the right guy.

They were a little quicker than we were. They got to the ball a little bit faster than we did. We had 14 fewer opportunities to shoot the ball because their quickness forced many turnovers.

The field's a lot faster than ours. That ball got to him a lot quicker than he expected. We'll try to get him some more time at second base, especially with the split squad coming up here.

We had some nice sets to run against a 2-3. We wanted quicker ball movement, quicker decisions with the ball and I thought they did that nicely. That was probably a key point in the game when we got them to come out of the zone.

What these guys are learning is what to expect. The game will be faster, quicker and the hits will be harder. If you get this type of instruction, you're gonna' get there. Ain't no two ways about it.
