Good news from the well-watched financial area and a bounce in semiconductor stocks are giving the market short-term technical strength.

While an uncertain market may overshadow the impact of some of our restructuring initiatives in the short-term, the implementation of various operating efficiencies and the selective refocusing of business units will allow us to strengthen our foundation for future growth in addition to maintaining a commitment to building long-term shareholder value,

Tech stocks were oversold on a short-term basis and on Monday everybody had to get out of them because of Microsoft, and then Tuesday everybody thought that if Microsoft is broken up maybe it's not the end of the world, and maybe there's an upside to it.

It's probably been one of the worst years for the semiconductor stocks and for techs in the last 15 to 20 years. This company has done extremely well in a terrible environment by executing flawlessly an extremely competitive 3D graphics market. NVIDIA is a top dog in this niche.

The good news for us is that everyone's going to be back. We haven't got a long-term injury so if they come back next week or the week after, we've got no-one out for the rest of the season.

Obviously very leveraged to the financial markets, ... When stocks are going up, this stock should do better than the market. When stocks go down, it should do worse than the market. So, there is risk here. But, it's the most diversified of the major broker dealers.
