God does not maintain a record of the past and the future. A record that is one second old should be tossed into the ocean. The One who remains only in the present, is God.

In a drama, does one see what comes forth in front of him or does he see after remembering the past? If you go to look at the past, you will lose the present.

The One who prevails in the present is the Knower-Seer (Gnata-Drashta). The One who prevails in the present experiences liberation right here! To constantly prevail in the present is itself considered the state of immortality (amarpad).

Who is able to prevail in the present? The One who says, "Yes.

The present (time) is a very subtle thing. On one side there is the past and on the other side there is the future, and in the middle of this, in the subtle part, lies the present. It cannot be grasped by one who is ignorant of the Self (agnani), only a a Self-realized being (Gnani) can grasp it.

The rupee becomes cheap [of less value] and is that why man becomes expensive [valuable] and when the rupee becomes expensive, man becomes cheap. At present, man has become cheap; he will become expensive again.
