From my perspective, 'postmodernism' merely names an interesting set of developments in the social order that is based on the presumption that God does not matter.

Lists have always implied social order.

Social order at the expense of liberty is hardly a bargain.

Our sin is exactly the presumption that we can know God or ourselves through our own capacities.

The common-sense notion that 'There is a time and place for everything' gets carried into a set of prescriptions which replicate the social order by assigning social meanings to spaces and times.

I don't think you can impose a social order from the top down.
