From my personal perspective, we'd be back in a heartbeat.

That changed the whole perspective. But from my point of view, I wasn't going to walk down to Sheila (Murphy) and tell her when I found out 'Hey, I'm going to walk away now.' We knew it was going to be difficult. But the kids have been great.

I see no reason from a planning perspective to approve this. I think it would be a detriment to the village.

My view is that you still, in order to win from the Labour perspective, have to have a strong alliance with business as well as the unions. You have got to be very much in the centre ground on things like public sector reform.

Those ethical choices often are made every day at a time, minute by minute in ways that you may not even relate to ethics, so I'm going to walk them through the whole story from that perspective and hopefully they'll be able to walk away with something good from it.

Obviously I don't know anything about who else was a candidate, ... But, looking at it from my perspective, I'm sure there are elements of what I have to offer which might seem safe. As for the shock of the new - I'm involved in a contemporary art museum in the Netherlands which has an international reputation as one of the best of the country. I've done exhibitions at the Van Gogh involving contemporary art and we've done work with modern painters, sculptors and photographers.
