[Franklin] seemed very comfortable there from the start, ... The first day he was there, it was amazing to see how quickly he acted right at home – making calls, knowing how he fit into the coverage after pattern reads.

He doesn't panic. He took control [at safety] in the early minutes of the first day we tried him there. He knew the calls and was very confident in them. He'd heard them for two years.

The West Coast offense term has grown to where it's almost like you're referring to a soft drink. There's so many varieties that you can get. Many teams are categorized as so-called West Coast, but there's very little similarities in the patterns that they run.

This is kind of a 'Joe' team. There really are not many name players on the team. It doesn't mean that there aren't some talented players on the team, but there are certainly no big-name players on the team. It's indicative of the fact that we're all the same. They just come in every day and grind it out.

I think that's fair to say. That has been the case from the outset, whether it's eligibility issues or training issues or whatever the case may be.

(Monroe) wants to be coached. He wants to be very good.
