For we have not a high priest who is unable to sympathise with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin

One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? / Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; / And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: / And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, / And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
