For us, we see it as a challenge. We don't get to see a lot of these teams so we have something to prove. We just come and play as hard as we can and do the things we're capable of.

She's been a real surprise. We weren't sure before the season started if she'd play JV or varsity. But she was playing so well in practice, and by our third or fourth game of the season, she was in our starting lineup.

I knew it the minute after I called it. I think I was just so loud that everyone thought it was right. I looked at the referee and apologized. In my own mind they had turned it over and we had it, so that was my convincing argument - because I was so loud that everybody thought I was right.

The first year was a challenge because only a few of us had ever seen a dance line before. We were very green. We took 17th place out of 17 teams the first year.

The virus is going to spread in our own native birds and that's the challenge ahead of us.

It's just been a real challenge for us to try to find ways of getting these guys out. It's been tough work. It's been physically and mentally taxing.
