For this league, the event has been wonderful. It's been something that's accomplished the mission of our league to a T.

The last thing any coach needs when they're going through a tough season is a road trip that might not make much sense. We've become more sensitive to team preference.

The event has taken on an almost postseason feel to it. At Southern Illinois, we had students camping out overnight for a game against Hawaii the next day that didn't start until 11 at night. It's really been remarkable.

At times we've had lapses. You're not going to be able to do it every game, night after night. But for the most part, the effort has been there.

Vladimir gives us versatility and he fits very well into our system. He's agile and he runs the floor well. We see him playing multiple positions and his outside shooting will stretch the defense and be a big positive for our inside players.

Scoring 81 points is a truly amazing accomplishment. Of course, the most important thing is that his effort contributed to a victory for his team.
