For me, that one error is enough to make me throw away my status and my life savings just to start all over again. It's the error of compromising my own personal freedom to spend time with a backbiter.

When foolish talk is given a platform and immunity, the intellectual suffer unbearably.

I can stand public humiliation as long as I still have the freedom to experiment with my life and do things at my own pace.

I drink what I can afford to buy for myself without you having to tell people that I have a spending or a drinking problem simply because you bought me drinks the whole night.

But I know that materialism has left love relationships adulterated. The margin of error is larger than ever before. And I cannot pretend to be ready to put my heartfelt feelings in such a largely erroneous endeavour. Far from being selfish, I prefer to be true to my feelings!

I've paid a price for avoiding a banal life, and I'll keep paying it.
