Flying detainees to countries where they may face torture or other ill treatment is a direct and outright breach (of) international law.

European countries have the duty to fully collaborate in the investigations of gross human-rights violations committed on their territory. Not co-operating with those investigations is tantamount to collaborating with the abuses.
