First, you drink the beer, obviously, and you think about everything you’ve been through, including how much some of it sucked. If you’ve seen really bad things, think of them now. If you’ve got stuff you’re not proud of, deal with it now. It helps if you pound the beer. When the bottle’s empty, you stand up, say your name and where you came from, and throw it into the fire. Hard. It’s supposed to break. We all did something like this, and I can’t tell you why, but it…it helps. It’s good for you. It’s a ‘setting sail on your new life’ kind of thing.
