Financial literacy is still a very significant problem. It doesn't seem to be getting any better.

All part of financial literacy.

People don't remember the Depression. People who are younger just really believe that nothing bad can happen to them. Either they think Social Security is going to be there for them when they retire, or they may feel that the government will never let them starve.

This indicates that, despite the attention now paid to the lack of financial literacy, the problem is not about to resolve itself anytime soon.

We're looking to expand people's financial literacy. There's lots more people can do, if they only know about it.

Financial literacy is an issue that should command our attention because many Americans are not adequately organizing finances for their education, healthcare and retirement.
