Putting a facility packed with radioactive material at Hawai'i's main airport, in the middle of urban Honolulu, and in a tsunami evacuation zone is almost asking for a natural disaster, air crash or terrorist attack. It is outrageous that the NRC has refused to conduct any analysis of the threats to the safety and health of me and my community that Pa'ina Hawaii's irradiator would pose.

We need to make sure every person is qualified.

What you're looking for there is whether the operator clearly understood the nature and quality of his acts and that they were likely to result in great























































































































bodily injury, ... Was he aware of the likely consequences of his actions?

We're so impressed with the state we're using it as a model (for future disasters), ... It was something we've not seen in a long time. There was a unified system and the sharing of information.
