Everyone did everything possible to help him. It all happened so suddenly... there was nothing that could be done.

Scotty lived and breathed lacrosse. Officiating was a big, big part of his life. He reached the highest level of the profession and was extremely well-liked by his fellow officials, well-respected by coaches at all levels.

It was kind of like a dream while it was happening. I just could not believe it was all real. It's something that stays with you forever. Not many days go by when I don't think about Scott.

We helped him move a bunch of stuff this morning, and we have boats here to help him.

Unfortunately, they can't help all homeless persons that are reported to them. They have limited flexibility because of certain barriers, like (a homeless person's) bad credit or a criminal record.
