Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.

These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat, / The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.

Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.

Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy.
