During the first 13 centuries after the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, no one thought of setting up a creche to celebrate Christmas. The pre-eminent Christian holiday was Easter, not Christmas.

To a Christian, Easter Sunday means everything, when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Christmas is the one time of year when people of all religions come together to worship Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is risen to-day, Our triumphant holy day; Who did once upon the cross Suffer to redeem our loss. Hallelujah!

Come, ye saints, look here and wonder, See the place where Jesus lay; He has burst His bands asunder; He has borne our sins away; Joyful tidings, Yes, the Lord has risen to-day.

In the bonds of Death He lay Who for our offense was slain; But the Lord is risen to-day, Christ hath brought us life again, Wherefore let us all rejoice, Singing loud, with cheerful voice, Hallelujah!
