Don't listen to wide-eyed idealists. They have not seen the ugliness of this Earth. Don't listen to closed-eyed cynics either since they refuse to do anything. The sword of fate has two sides, and to shatter it you need to know both of the sides.

You incessantly insist that I stop looking at what you ignorantly believe to be the "bad" parts of this world. You are foolish. You expect me to ignore what people are and give into your fantasy that the world is as simplistic as you would like to believe.

Scratch the surface of most cynics and you find a frustrated idealist — someone who made the mistake of converting his ideals into expectations.

We strive to be as virtuous as possible, but the truth is that any virtue can be malformed into a greater sin. The opposite is also true.

If fate is a fragile stained glass that we stand on, then why can't we shatter the oppresive earth we stand on? The answer is simple, we are too weak.

Cynics are - beneath it all - only idealists with awkwardly high standards.
