Does it mean that being a Southerner no longer has any meaning? I don't think it does. It just has a very different kind of meaning.

That had a special meaning to me, ... I grew up in Baton Rouge and had attended LSU. Going back there to do the broadcast and having CU win was something special.

In 1942, Ted Williams' draft status was 1A, meaning he was going to be among the first people to go to war. Williams stated that he would enlist after the 1942 season was completed and he ended up missing five seasons between (his combined service in) World War II and (later in) the Korean War. If he hadn't missed that much time away from the game, who knows how many home runs he could have hit?

My main objective is to let the community find out who their neighbor is, whether they're in Eastport or in Parole. Everything you hear on the radio doesn't really pertain to Annapolis, it pertains to what's going on in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. We want to open people's eyes to what's really going on in our neighborhood.

What we have here is an intrusion into the neighborhood, and nobody saw fit to meet with us. Seems to us that you had a problem, but didn't anticipate the results and consequences.
